Oldest Fishing Club in NZ
This is the oldest fishing club in NZ. The Bay of Islands Swordfish Club has clubhouses overlooking the water in both Paihia and Russell. Both have bar and meal facilities as well as excellent displays of historic fishing photograpghs, tackle adn memorabilia. The BOI Swordfish Club is a founding member of the NZ Big Fish Game Fishing Council Inc and is affliliated to I.G.F.A.N.Z Chartered clubs, The Royal NZ Yacht Squadron, Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Ponsonby Cruising Club and the Opua Crusing Club. Members of all affiliated clubs are welcome to enjoy the clubs facilities when visiting the area. Great restaurant and bar facilites
